Located in central Copenhagen, a stone’s throw from the three lakes that separate the city center from the boroughs, is a small and charming row of old, yellow brick townhouses. The houses in this area are old workers’ houses from the late 1800s, and today they’re among the most expensive residential properties in central Copenhagen. The client for the interior renovation of one of these little townhouses wanted to transform the space from an old, rustic interior into a contemporary open-plan livingspace.

“The contrast of the cluttered atmosphere outside and the completely serene refuge from the life of the city inside the house, makes it an extraordinary experience.”
