Hospitality Project, Restaurant Äng, Halland, Sweden

Client: Restaurant Äng
Planned completion: Summer 2022
Total square meters: 1200 m2

Renowned Restaurant Äng was recently honoured with its first star by the prestigious Guide Michelin, as well as with the guide’s green star in recognition of their extraordinary practices regarding sustainability. Now they’re aiming to create an even more exquisite and holistic dining experience, as Äng is to reopen in a new tailored space, encapsulating the very essence of their distinctive concept. Overlooking the surrounding natural lakes and forests of Halland, Sweden, the guests will be welcomed to a unique experience on the idyllic meadow (äng in Swedish).
A great part of the experience at Restaurant Äng is the use and celebration of local produce, why the surrounding landscape will be a crucial element in the architecture – the main part of it being an exclusive greenhouse with a stunning view of the Swedish nature.

The bespoke interior will be created in close collaboration with Japanese furniture brand Karimoku Case Study.
