Situated in the heart of Copenhagen, we continually respect and draw on our context to build on the traditions of Scandinavian design; an approach of timeless aesthetics, natural materials and the upholding of Modernist principles concerning restraint and refinement. From the way of using materials to the combination of texture and color, we find inspiration in the traditional craftsmanship around us, while also looking outwards for new input and listening to the feelings and instincts from within.
Guided by the body and mind rather than by trends or technology, we immerse ourselves in the process of exploring ideas that not only look good but feel good too. Being a multidisciplinary studio comprised of competent and passionate people with backgrounds in everything from architecture and design to business and communication, we take great pride in working across various scales and creative disciplines. Still, our collective goal is simple: To find the essence of each and every project and unfold a narrative to create architecture and design that not only stand the test of time, but also connect to us as human beings.
“To keep creativity thriving, we strive to never do something out of routine or habit. That’s perhaps why we love to work in different scales and in different genres. When doing photography, there is something we can then bring with us to the design process. When creating a new design, it gives us something to add to the architecture practice. We extract our knowledge from all these different fields and combine them to evolve our approach to the work we do every day. We keep our creativity thriving by, simply, not doing the same”
What we surround ourselves with has great impact on our mood and overall well-being. This is something we’re very concerned about when creating the framework for people’s lives, office space, refuge and everything in between. But it is just as much something we take seriously when it comes to our own working environment. With the use of natural materials, beautiful details and a harmonious colour palette, the studio is the ideal place for us to gather, exchange ideas, concentrate and create.
