A recently completed interior refurbishment of a private residence north of Copenhagen, marrying country house charm and contemporary sophistication. The house comprises warm, balanced spaces with roughly textured surfaces, thoughtfully in-built and bespoke details. The overall mood and color scheme of the exterior is translated into the interior with a raw, tactile material palette of wood, stone, natural fibre textiles and leathers dominating the open space plan of the house. A unique family dwelling on the border of a working farm in the English county of Suffolk completed in 2017. The new Lattice table designed for @ariake_collection is a dining table that investigates the interplay between transparency and solidness. The wooden lattice build up the legs, and the play with light and shadow is accentuated through organic spacing. From select angles the legs appear as a closed surface, only revealing its construction through the light passing though, while, from other angles, it appears entirely transparent. Inspired by the shutters and covers used in architecture to control light streaming into the building, the calming repetitions of the construction creates an overall clean and architectural feel, often found in front of traditional Japanese stores and restaurants. #normarchitects #softminimalism

We have worked alongside furniture brands @menuspace and @dux_official to curate an installation that resembles the eclectic living quarters of a creative, as part of Stockholm Design Week 2020. “The almost theatrical staging of objects pays homage to the ateliers of great artists – from Picasso's Parisian hideout to Cezanne's untouched studio in Aix-en-Provence – and allows visitors a glimpse into the artistic process, on a larger scale," explained founding partner of Norm Architects Jonas Bjerre-Poulsen.
