Rooted in tradition yet shaped for contemporary living, Collection 002 marks the first collaboration between TAMEKO and Norm Architects – an exploration of textiles as quiet companions to everyday life. Designed to be lived with rather than merely observed, the collection prioritises comfort, tactility, and atmosphere – allowing its aesthetic expression to emerge naturally from use and material.
Comprising cushions, bed throws, and kimonos, Collection 002 reflects our philosophy of soft minimalism, where material honesty and sensory comfort inform every decision. The palette is muted and earthy, unfolding in gentle tones that feel grounded and timeless to support both private rituals and shared spaces, where atmosphere and comfort must coexist seamlessly.
TAMEKO is a Copenhagen-based textile brand rooted in a deep appreciation for honest materials, quiet luxury, and Scandinavian sensibilities. Founded by the duo behind Massimo Copenhagen, the brand was created with a singular aim: to craft textiles that elevate everyday life through tactility, simplicity, and longevity.
Each product is developed with a commitment to natural materials, thoughtful craftsmanship, and a timeless palette that sits effortlessly within private homes as well as hospitality spaces.
Materiality sits at the heart of the collection. Grown and spun in India, the cotton used across the collection reflects a long-standing culture of textile knowledge and care. The fibres are soft, breathable, and durable, while certified organic practices ensure a more responsible and respectful textile lifecycle.
The linen originates from European flax, valued for its strength, natural lustre, and relaxed expression. Its inherent breathability and moisture-wicking qualities lend a sense of effortless comfort, making it ideal for both bedding and interior textiles.
Together, linen and cotton create a balanced material expression: linen offers structure, texture, and subtle irregularity, while cotton introduces softness, smoothness, and resilience. The kimono design is rendered in 100% organic cotton seersucker – a lightweight, softly puckered fabric known for its comfort, breathability, and effortless drape.
Each piece is produced with meticulous attention to detail. Cushions and bed throws feature a distinctive edge – an understated signature that reflects our shared dedication to honest construction and thoughtful restraint.
The kimono is crafted in organic cotton seersucker, a lightweight fabric with a softly puckered surface that enhances airflow and ease of movement. Its gentle drape and tactile quality echo the collection’s overarching intention: to bring comfort closer to the body, without excess.
