Composed Matter brought together Søuld, Motarasu and Sumum in a curated exhibition by Norm Architects for 3daysofdesign 2026, exploring how materials, light and human interaction shape the atmosphere of a space.
Rooted in a shared appreciation for tactility, craftsmanship and sensory experience, the exhibition unfolded as a series of installations where eelgrass, light and touch entered into dialogue. Rather than presenting products as isolated objects, Composed Matter invited visitors to experience how carefully composed elements can create spaces of calm, presence and connection.
Through material explorations, artistic interpretations and architectural interventions, the exhibition reflected on the enduring value of natural materials, the poetry of light, and the intimate gestures through which we engage with our surroundings. Together, we worked to demonstrate how thoughtful design can move beyond visual expression to shape the way we feel, inhabit and relate to the spaces around us.
